FATHER ABEL’S COLUMN – JUNE 10TH 2018

Last Sunday’s 11th Annual Corpus Christi procession was truly a beautiful experience for our parish and Woodside Community. It’s a blessing that we have this every year and it’s humbling to see so many of our parishioners come out and process with our Blessed Sacrament around our neighborhood. A very special thank you must go to Dr. Kitty Thornton who for the last 11 years has been very instrumental in the organization and planning of our procession. Please make sure to thank Dr. Kitty when you see her.

Today at the 10:30am Mass, the graduating class of 2018 of St. Sebastian Catholic Academy will join us. We are so very proud of our “soon to be graduates.” They have given so much to our community and I know the future will be bright for them and for all of us. May God continue to bless all of your endeavors.

Last week I had the honor of attending Award Ceremonies for the basketball and swimming programs that are run by our Parish Center. It’s great that we gather with our young people to recognize all the blessings God has bestowed upon them. I thank the coaches of our swimming and basketball programs for all the great work that they do for our children.

Congrats to all!

Rev. Kevin Abels, Pastor

Congratulations to our 2018 class!
