FATHER ABEL’S COLUMN – OCTOBER 7TH 2018

This coming Thursday, October 11th, Bishop Massa will be confirming 134 young men and women from St. Sebastian Catholic Academy and our Religious Education program. The Holy Spirit will come down once again, upon our young people, strengthening them for their life’s mission and vocation. I am very proud of these young men and women. Their faith has inspired me and so many in our community to a deeper love for our Lord! Please pray for them.

As mentioned in last week’s bulletin, our parish will be having 40 hours devotion beginning with an opening Mass at 7:00pm on Monday October 15. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for private prayer and adoration until the closing Mass on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00pm. I am encouraging all of us to spend some time with our Lord during this time so we can experience His loving presence in our lives. Sigh up sheets are available in the vestibule of the Church. We need at least 2 people to spend each hour with our Lord. Thanks to those of you who have signed up!

This month of October is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother. I am very happy to inform you that once again we will be having a Rosary Rally across the street from the Church on Saturday, October 13th at 12noon. I encourage all of you to be present and join us in praying the Holy Rosary.

Finally, I will be conducting Bible Study on Sunday, October 14th at 2:45pm in the John Paul Room of St. Sebastian Academy, all are welcome!

Thanks for your support!
