Next Friday, August 4 at 7:00pm in the Church, I invite all of you to join me for a special Mass to open the year of Vocations as requested by Bishop DiMarzio. It will be an opportunity for our diocese to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, deaconate and consecrated life. That will be our prayer of focus on August 4, 2017. After Mass we will have our monthly 1st Friday into Saturday, all-night vigil in which we will continue our prayer for good, Holy vocations in our Church. At this Mass, I will announce our parish’s plan as to how we will observe this year of Vocations. I encourage all of you to attend.
