Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

About Us

rciaRCIA is the faith formation process by which we as a parish community, not only welcome but more so assist ADULTS who asp1re to be BAPTIZED and affirmed as full members of the Roman Catholic Church through the sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist.

Becoming Catholic is a spiritual journey which brings aspirants through a
series of steps (formal rites) and four traditional periods of spiritual growth into the very heart of the Blessed Trinity. Understanding what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ nourished by God’s Word and the Eucharist, participating fully in the life of the Catholic Church, and experiencing a strong sense of community, they are moved to give back and share what they have received.

Parishioners who wish to be actively involved in this ministry may sign up as
members of the Initiation Team. Offering their gifts and talents as Prayer
Intercessors and as Ministers of Welcome and Hospitality, or Sponsor/Mentors, or as
trained Catechists accompanying the candidates throughout the initiation process,
they truly answer Our Lord’s mandate to “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am
with you always, until the end of the age.” (MT 28: 19-20).
