FATHER ABEL’S COLUMN – MAY 20TH 2018

Today, the Church celebrates the great feast of Pentecost! We celebrate the birthday of the Church and we bring our Easter Season of 50 days to a close, but the joy that the Risen Lord brings lasts each moment of our lives. Let us never forget that we have been redeemed by the cross of our Lord. Let us live in and be transformed by His Risen Life.

Today at the 1:30pm Mass we will be celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation with some of our adults from the parish. This is a tradition celebrated every year on Pentecost. Every pastor is given the permission to administer the sacrament of Confirmation to adults over 18years old who have not yet received the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Please pray for these men and women!
